![]() ![]() “Eternal Civilization” makes large-scale adjustments of balance, but it may not more balanced than the official version, which requires extensive testing and feedback. For example, the Fortified Wall will upgrade the palisade walls into fortified palisade walls, and increase the hit point of the palisade gate, sea gate and sea wall. In addition, some of the original technologies are also be modified. In the Wonder, there are four technologies that can completely change the pattern of later game, only one of them can be chosen. Stone Circulation can let stone mine last longer. ![]() For example, Boiling Oil allows Castles, Kreposts and Donjons gain a boiling oil attack against nearby enemies, Armed Outpost make outposts can attack and no longer cost stone. “Eternal Civilization” adds some techs for all civilizations. Such as HMS Battleship(BRITONS), Flying Crow(Chinese), Great Bombard(TURKS) and DaVinci Tank(ITALIANS).Īt the same time, the Mod also adds some general units and buildings, such as the new stable unit chariot-line, new dock unit engineering ship, new building sea wall, sea gate and sea tower. Some of them are limited quantity units, which are much more powerful than ordinary units that can only be created after Imperial Age or some certain technologies is researched. These units have their own unique attributes or abilities and will play an important role in the game. “Eternal Civilization” adds 1-6 new units for each civilization. All of the above are to enhance the fun of the game for players! More general units and general technologies have also been added, and some of the original units and technologies of the game have been adjusted. More than 80 new units have been added into this MOD, thus each civilization will get at least 1 kind of new unique unit. “Eternal Civilization” is an unofficial expansion pack of “Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition”. I can't imagine aoe is much different.-『Introduction』. You hit diamond league before you have to micro or know ♥♥♥♥ about the game. And Britons happen to be one of those civs, but I think a knight civ is probably easier to use.Įither that or huns, its probably easier to learn how macro works if you don't keep getting housed.Īt the very least, the "pick a simple easy strategy and just learn how to macro" strategy is good in starcraft. So I'd reccomend any civ where its very simple and obvious how to play. Just build villagers constantly, spend your money, if you're doing those 2 you're probably already above average. And that's all a new player should be doing. And if a new player is trying to figure out what units they should build and how to micro cav + archer + mangonel + etc all at once, they're not macroing. Because with Britons, its very obvious what you're going to do every game. I would actually reccomend a civ like Britons (not necessarily them) though. ![]() But yeah they're not super noob friendly. To be fair on the first point, noobs also don't know how to micro against the extra range. (3) Cheaper TC doesnt really matter as noobs have zero idea about booming with extra TCs. (2) Lack of thumb ring makes their xbows / arbs bad in straight fights. (1) They dont know how to micro with the extra range. Britons arent really that good for noobs : Though when playing them live you only need 5 on sheep instead of the usual 6 as they have an eco bonus that makes villagers on sheep work 25% faster. I also reccommend downloading the mod "Interactive Build Order Guide" and learn one of the archer build orders. ![]() Britons is a civ that is loved by noobs and pros alike. They also have decent dock tech so can work well on hybrid maps. Britons also have a full tech blacksmith and a strong barracks with champion and halbs which makes them versatile and gives some good options when it comes to tech-switching, though their stable is bad. Originally posted by Far<3:Britons is "noob favorite" when it comes to civs, very strong archers that can outrange enemy archers/skirms and enemy mangonels, so they are not that micro intensive. ![]()
